How does LP Data compare to Preqin or PitchBook?
LP Data focuses on fund-level performance data from audited pension disclosures. We don't have deal-level data or fundraising pipelines like Preqin/PitchBook, but for fund benchmarking and LP-GP relationships, we provide comparable data at 95% lower cost.
Where does your data come from?
Our data comes from public pension fund disclosures (FOIA requests, annual reports), SEC filings (Form ADV, Form D), and foundation tax filings (IRS 990-PF). All data is from audited, official sources rather than GP self-reports.
How often is the data updated?
We update our database as new disclosures become available. Most pension funds publish quarterly reports, while SEC filings are processed as they're filed. Core data is typically refreshed monthly.
What funds are covered?
